Wild Kin Forest School facilitates woodland play sessions, with an emphasis on nature connection, friendship and play.
Connecting with not only the woodland environment but other families is central to our foundations- building community and friendship in a fun, safe and inspiring forest environment.
Our stay and play sessions are open to children aged 2-5 and their grown ups. Sessions are held during term time on a Monday, from 9.45-11.15am in the beautiful woodland at The Ridings, Chipping Sodbury.
Your little ones with have the chance to combine child-led free play with the option of a focused activity and varied invitations to play, following the children’s interests each week, as well as seasonal themes.
Come and feel the breeze from a gently rocking hammock, balance on natural obstacles, build, create, get messy, listen to bird song, and find the perfect stick!
Beth is a qualified Primary School Teacher and Forest School leader, with many years of experience teaching children in both primary school and Early Years settings, including her current role in an outdoor kindergarten. It was while teaching in Reception that she discovered her love for forest school, and noticed the impact of nature and its ability to help regulate, inspire and nurture children.
She created Wild Kin to provide a space for children and adults to find time together in the woods; to explore, play, connect and relax.
Beth loves hiking, sewing, and cycling adventures as well as finding a quiet spot to read in a hammock! She lives in Bristol with her husband and 3 year old son, who will both be attending our sessions in the forest!
